They are doing everything to destroy our country. They deny the Montenegrin nation. They are preparing a new occupation for us. They created a mountain of problems for us and brought us to the stage where it seems like there is no way out, so they want to trample us. They chose 35 of you according to the program of the “Serbian World”. It is forbidden for everyone to even speak. These are political and moral torments, and our Constitution is blasphemed to annul everything that is Montenegrin. We will not deviate from our path - journalist and publicist Danilo Daro Burzan said at the gathering of the informal association of free citizens STEGA.
At this event on Gorica Hill, marking the Day of the Liberation of Podgorica, he said that we live in a land of wonders where intelligence means nothing.

- There is neither reason nor judgment. The Church taught them choral chanting, for five years they have been dismantling freedoms by destroying everything that is Montenegrin and dragging the country back toward Serbia - Burzan stated.
At the end of his speech, he called on those gathered to allow them to be counted once more.

STEGA’s Secretary General Dragana Sekulić said that the fight for freedom of true patriots is not over, and that their fight is only just beginning.
- Thirty-five citizens have been prosecuted, and today we say: Gorica is our line, the dignity of Montenegro is our line - she said, greeting the dismissed director of the National Library “Đurđe Crnojević“ Dragica Lompar who was present at the gathering.

Historian Jadranka Selhanović said that they are still searching for the monument of Pavle Đurišić.
- He has no place here. Gorica is guarded by heroes who thundered toward freedom. They are our pride and our sacred legacy, but also our obligation. There is no path for us except theirs - she said.

Physician Aleksandar Saša Mugoša said he does not know what more needs to happen for us as citizens to say - enough is enough.
- This must change. We must oppose every attempt at oppression - he highlighted.

A student at the Faculty of Political Sciences Tamara Đurković emphasized that fascism has not disappeared, it has only changed its form.
- It hides in the normalization of injustice. We are free on paper, but imprisoned in spirit. I must clearly say that a society that comes to terms with injustice chooses its own form of slavery. Let the fight be continuous - she said.

History professor Igor Radulović stressed that the ideal of freedom must be preserved forever.
- We are here to express solidarity with those who are being denied freedom. Those who are being prosecuted are a part of us - he said.

On behalf of the STEGA association flowers were laid at the Monument „For the Partisan Fighter“ by academic of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts Slobodan Backović, professor Branislav Radulović and STEGA Secretary General Dragana Sekulić.

After the laying of the flowers, director Danilo Marunović said that he is standing on a sacred place, looking at the city, and can not help but notice that the cult of freedom seems to have gone somewhere.

- We, our fathers, and our grandfathers have always stood on the winning side of history. Our invincible historical destiny, we are a generation created for song. Our time is yet to come. May it be eternal - Marunović said.

Citizens also gathered on Gorica last week, after the Police Directorate filed misdemeanor charges against 35 citizens who protested in front of Villa Gorica on July 8th during the awarding of the Thirteenth of July Award to Bećir Vuković, a denier of the Montenegrin nation.

- STEGA calls on all citizens to send a message together from Gorica at 11.55h that Montenegro does not accept repression of any kind even today, and that it stands proudly with its head held high on the red line of defense of free speech and free citizens, antifascism and fundamental human rights, thereby also defending the memory of Montenegrin antifascists and fighters who 80 years ago secured life, freedom, and a country for us. Join the group of 35 prosecuted citizens and be part of history, freedom, and honor. See you at five minutes to twelve on Gorica, on the red line - it was emphasized earlier in the protest announcement.
