His turn for dismissal: Lakušić removed, new Board of Directors of the Regional Water Supply appointed

After the party of Milan Knežević left the Government, the dismissal of its officials followed. Thus, Democratic People’s Party member Zoran Lakušić, although he had submitted his resignation back in December 2024, was only yesterday formally dismissed from the position of President of the Board of Directors of the Regional Water Supply Company „Montenegrin Coast“.
New Board of Directors appointed
The Government of Montenegro has appointed a new Board of Directors of the Regional Water Supply Company „Montenegrin Coast“.
According to information from the ETV Portal, Boro Lučić has been selected as the new president. He holds a master’s degree in maritime studies and represents the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development.
The following members have been appointed: Rajko Radusinović, a graduate electrical engineer, representative of the same ministry; Dritan Redža, a master of physical education, also representing that ministry; Miloš Stanković, a graduate manager, representing the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management; Jelena Janićijević, a master of management in tourism and hospitality, representing the Ministry of Health; Ivan Rakonić, a law graduate, representing the Ministry of Finance; and Lazar Pešić, a master of transport management, representing the General Secretariat of the Government of Montenegro.
Kontroverze i prethodni događaji
According to sources, this marks the end of a significant chapter in the Regional Water Supply Company. The ETV Portal has repeatedly reported on numerous controversies within the company, as well as alleged unlawful actions by Lakušić. It is notable that the Government only acted yesterday, even though he had submitted his resignation in December 2024. For a year and a half, there was no response, despite letters from some employees addressed to Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and the Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development Damjan Ćulafić.
Disputed management decisions
The ETV Portal has continuously reported on serious problems in the Regional Water Supply Company, particularly since Lakušić allegedly unlawfully dismissed the company’s executive director, Borislav Ivanković, in November last year and subsequently appointed Krsto Radović. Ivanković is reportedly the third executive director dismissed by Lakušić since his appointment as head of the Board of Directors in May 2021.
In the party-based distribution of positions, the Regional Water Supply Company fell under the Democratic People’s Party of Milan Knežević, to which Lakušić also belonged.
