Prosecutor’s Office in Kolašin opens case over banner glorifying war criminal Ratko Mladić

The Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Kolašin has opened a case after police questioned eight people who displayed a banner in Kolašin glorifying convicted war criminal Ratko Mladić, Portal ETV has learned.

The Higher State Prosecutor’s Office, as Portal ETV has learned, determined that the actions of the individuals who displayed the banner did not contain elements of a criminal offence falling within its jurisdiction.

Police officers from Kolašin identified eight people connected with displaying the controversial banners in the territory of that municipality. They were brought yesterday to the official premises of the Kolašin Police Station, where statements were taken from them.

The entire situation was brought to light by Portal ETV, which was the first to publish the controversial photograph.

Numerous social media users claim that the photograph also shows Davor Dulović, secretary of the „Risto Manojlović“ Primary School.

Portal ETV contacted Dulović, but he neither responded to the message nor denied claims that he appears in the controversial photograph. Portal ETV’s sources claim that Dulović was also questioned by police yesterday.

Portal ETV also contacted the principal of the „Risto Manojlović“ Primary School, Ljubica Anđelić, who said that, based on the photograph, she could not determine whether the person shown was Dulović, adding that the Police Directorate is responsible for identification.

Yesterday, the Kolašin Municipal Board of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) called on the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation to respond urgently to reports that Davor Dulović, secretary of the „Risto Manojlović“ Primary School and a member of the New Serbian Democracy (NSD), was among the group that displayed a banner glorifying the person and legacy of convicted war criminal Ratko Mladić.
