High Court ruling: Drljević and members of the Council of the Radio Television of Montenegro convicted in final judgment

The President of the Council of the Radio Television of Montenegro, Veselin Drljević, and Council members Filip Lazović, Naod Zorić and Amina Murić have been finally convicted of abusing their official positions when they appointed Boris Raonić as Director-General of the public broadcaster, despite knowing that he did not meet the legal requirements for the position.
The High Court upheld the first-instance judgment issued by Judge Dragana Lubarda of the Basic Court, who sentenced the Council President and the aforementioned Council members to a seven-month suspended sentence. This was confirmed to the ETV Portal by the High Court.
The first-instance judgment was delivered on 23 September.
In his closing statement, the prosecutor discontinued the proceedings against Predrag Miranović.
The first-instance judgment has become final and binding, as the High Court rejected the appeals filed by both the defense attorneys and the prosecutor.
