Felten: It is time for the government and the opposition to secure broad support for the key decisions ahead

German Ambassador to Montenegro Peter Felten said that now is the time for both the government and the opposition in Montenegro to secure broad support for the key decisions ahead through dialogue and compromise.

Felten made the statement in a post on X, referring to remarks by the Head of the European Union Delegation to Montenegro, Johan Sattler, who said that every vote on reforms is a mini-referendum on EU accession.

- My colleague's words deserve the utmost attention. The door to Montenegro's accession to the European Union is wide open. This is a unique opportunity. Now is the time for both the government and the opposition, through dialogue and compromise, and in the interest of the country, to secure broad support for the key decisions ahead - Felten said.
