Milatović’s Office: Spajić has failed to attend Defence Council sessions for the fifth time since the start of the year, blocking decision-making

The Public Relations Office of the President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović announced that Prime Minister Milojko Spajić has so far not confirmed his attendance at the session of the Defence and Security Council scheduled for 11 a.m.

According to the statement, this is already the fifth time since the beginning of the year that the prime minister has failed to attend a session.

- Continued avoidance of participation in council sessions leads to the blocking of decision-making in the field of defence and security, including issues that directly concern the functioning of the Armed Forces of Montenegro and the country’s overall security system - the Public Relations Office of President Milatović said.

They added that the session will be attended by the President of Parliament Andrija Mandić, Minister of Defence Dragan Krapović, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović, and the Director of the National Security Agency Ivica Janović.

Earlier, Spajić announced on the social network X that a session of the Council for Ensuring Secure Supply of Petroleum Products would be held today, where the current situation will be reviewed and possible measures considered to address the challenges faced by some smaller oil companies.
