The head of the Special Police Department Predrag Šuković frequently visited the home of Ivan Delić from Budva, who, according to police records, is considered a security-interest individual. Delić allegedly assisted Šuković by providing logistical support for installing listening devices in a hotel in Budva, where Marko Ljubiša Kan often stayed. These serious allegations were presented before the High Court by former Assistant Director of the Police Directorate Dejan Knežević, in his defense.

All of this allegedly took place more than ten years ago, when the police were headed by Božidar Vuksanović.

- When Šuković came to the Police Directorate appointed by political structures, I told him that I was against him going to Delić’s house and „reporting“ to him. Why was he going. At the time, he told me that it was being done in cooperation with the National Security Agency and the Police Directorate, and that a greater interest was at stake - Knežević stated.

He added that there was no official record of those activities.

According to him, from that point on, Šuković developed animosity toward him.

Knežević made this statement after presenting hidden messages allegedly exchanged between the now-suspended officer - undercover agent Petar Lazović and Ivan Delić.

In those messages, Delić asked Lazović whether Knežević was on good terms with „you“. I see he said: „that Baka and I are being targeted wherever we go, I see he’s sharpening up against us“. Lazović replied that Knežević was a professional, a brave and honorable man. Among other things, Delić added: „Just so they don’t pin something on him and Baka, so there’s no head-scratching later“.

Knežević stated that he had not undertaken any official action against Ivan Delić that would justify any animosity from him.

- „Head-scratching“ can be interpreted as a threat. Maybe I’m wrong, but I associate this „head-scratching“ with the hatred of Predrag Šuković, which later manifested through the „blue notebook“, as well as through the actions of the police and the Prosecutor’s Office aimed at revenge against me - Knežević said.

He also explained that Šuković’s animosity toward him dated back a long time, as he had opposed his appointment to one of the leadership positions within the Police Directorate.

Knežević is on trial on charges that he disclosed confidential information to a group allegedly formed by Ljubo Milović and Mileta Ojdanić.

With this indictment, the Special State Prosecutor’s Office also charged former police officer Ljubo Milović (40), Mileta Ojdanić (51), Ivan Stamatović (40), Nebojša Bugarin (43), Petar Lazović (33), Marko Novaković (37), Milan Popović (40), Miloš Mišurović (41), Vladimir Bajčeta (43), Goran Stojanović (40), Darko Knežević (44), Milo Božović (46), Radoje Zvicer (41), Božidar Jabučanin (46), Aleksandar Keković (31), Dražen Milović (36), Filip Zindović (34), Ivan Nikolić (37), Tihomir Adžić (38), Ivan Mijatović (38), and several unidentified persons.

Among other things, they are charged with forming a criminal organization, money laundering, unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs, and illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials.

Knežević categorically denied all allegations in the indictment.
