Incident at a blockade in Podgorica: Citizen denied passage, ETV Portal journalist also prevented from filming

During today’s blockade of a roundabout in Podgorica, organized by residents of Botun as a protest against the construction of a wastewater treatment plant, an incident occurred.

A citizen attempted to pass through the blockade, stating that his wife, who is in another Podgorica neighborhood, is pregnant and experiencing pain. Despite his explanation, those gathered did not allow him to pass.

After that a person, who had been sitting in the driver’s seat of the car in which the leader of the Democratic People’s Party Milan Knežević was, got out of the vehicle and entered into a verbal confrontation with the citizen.

 When a journalist from the ETV Portal tried to record the event on her phone, one of the residents of Botun prevented the filming by covering the camera of her phone with his hand.

- Come on, get out of here. Don’t film - he said, addressing the journalist.
