Danilo Mandić’s detention extended

Danilo Mandić, who is charged with causing general danger, serious bodily harm, illegal possession of weapons and vehicle theft, has had his detention extended, the ETV Portal was informed by the Basic Court.

- By a decision of the out-of-court panel of this court dated December 25th, the detention of the defendant Danilo Mandić has been extended - the response submitted to our portal states.

Danilo Mandić is the nephew of Andrija Mandić, the President of the Parliament of Montenegro.

He was engaged as the private security guard of his uncle, Andrija Mandić. On the night of April 19th one person was wounded on Ivan Crnojević Boulevard.

The investigation against Danilo Mandić was conducted by the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office, but after evaluating all the evidence, it determined that the case falls under the jurisdiction of the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office because, as they explained, the accused did not have the intent to kill Darko Perović and Aris Turković. In the shooting, Perović was injured.
