Member of Parliament representing the European Alliance, Nikola Zirojević, said at a press conference that a threatening letter was delivered on Monday to the coalition's parliamentary offices.

Zirojević stated that the contents of the letter referred to his recent exchange with Defence Minister Dragan Krapović.

- The letter says that killers could go on a rampage and that I could be kidnapped for ransom - Zirojević said.

He stressed that the most abhorrent threats were directed at both his family and himself personally.

- The intention is to intimidate me and prevent me from carrying out my duties as a member of parliament - Zirojević said, adding that his party had a clear response to the threats.

He added his legal representative have filed another lawsuit against Krapović.

- Should the court rule in our favour, the defendant will be required to donate the awarded amount to the Children's Home in Bijela. The atmosphere in which incidents like this occur is a direct result of the Democrats' practice of painting targets on people's backs - Zirojević said.

He added that he would ask the Police Directorate to urgently conduct a new security assessment for both himself and his family.

- I call on Police Director Lazar Šćepanović to take this matter seriously - Zirojević said.

He noted that the letter had been sent by post and signed under a pseudonym.

- By reviewing the Post Office's surveillance footage, it should be easy to determine who sent it - Zirojević concluded.
