„Special treatment“ for Mijajlović
Sources within the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions - UIKS indicate that the area allocated for prison walks for Mijajlović and his cellmates has been reduced, so consequently, the businessman, so that his fellow detainees would not suffer consequences, decided not to go out for walks, which are permitted twice a day. According to information from Television E, the head of the Special Police Department, Predrag Šuković, emphasized to the Assistant Director of UIKS, Nebojša Janković, that „special attention should be paid“ to Aleksandar Mijajlović, against whom there are two indictments.

Instead of prompting a review of the treatment of Aleksandar Mijajlović in the Investigation Prison, media reports have led to a deterioration in the position of the detained Podgorica businessman.
Such a conclusion can be drawn based on information from Television E. In addition to the fact that investigating judge Goran Šćepanović for 95 days has not allowed Mijajlović any telephone contact with members of his immediate family, and that due to the overload of doctors an X-ray of his injured shoulder has not been provided for a full three months – now movement during daily walks has been restricted for Mijajlović and the other nine detainees from his cell.
LIMITED WALKS
The prison walk, which is allowed twice a day for 30 minutes, can take place in several different circuits, shorter or longer, equipped with various exercise facilities. For Mijajlović and the detainees sharing a cell with him, the administration of the Investigation Prison has, according to lower-ranking officers within UIKS, ordered restricted walks limited to Circuit No. 2, which is about fifty steps of paved surface.
Guards at the Investigation Prison, as Television E learned, noticed that Mijajlović stopped going out for walks three days ago, so that his cellmates would not suffer punishment because of him.
According to information from our media outlet, the action of restricting the walking area is part of broader pressure on Mijajlović, and it is hard to believe that it was desgined by lower-level prison staff.
SPECIAL ATTENTION
Sources of Television E from the Special Police Department state that Predrag Šuković emphasized to the Assistant Director of UIKS, Nebojša Janković, that „special attention should be paid“ to Aleksandar Mijajlović, against whom there are two indictments.
Whether special attention also implies a special, stricter treatment compared to other detainees - is not known.
After the previous report by Television E, the administration of the Investigation Prison issued a response, but not to the email of our media outlet. In that response, it was confirmed that Mijajlović has been denied contact with his family and cannot undergo an X-ray of his injured shoulder, but it was emphasized that Mijajlović’s treatment is not the result of any ill intent by the UIKS administration.
-Regarding the use of the telephone booth, the leadership of the Investigation Prison does not have the authority to approve or deny someone’s use of the phone, this falls under the jurisdiction of the court… The detainee has indeed been examined multiple times by the prison doctor, who issued a referral for imaging at the Clinical Center of Montenegro, however, a significant number of detainees are currently housed in UIKS who, according to the prison doctor’s triage, have urgent medical conditions - the UIKS administration stated.
According to official statements, as well as information from state institutions, there is no campaign against the businessman Aleksandar Mijajlović, nor is anyone deliberately making his detention conditions harder.
Unofficially, but in reality: the Podgorica businessman is spending his second period of detention under significantly harsher conditions, as if he were some kind of political prisoner?!
