Milović gets eight months suspended and a four-year restraining order for threats against Abdić

Danilo Milović has been sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for two years, for the criminal offence of endangering the safety of doctor and Member of Parliament from the Democratic Party of Socialists Nermin Abdić.
The Basic Court handed Milović a suspended sentence, meaning that the eight-month prison term will not be enforced provided that he does not commit another criminal offence within the next two years.
Jelena Rosandić, an independent public relations adviser at the Basic Court in Podgorica, told Portal ETV that, in addition to the suspended sentence, Milović was also given a security measure banning him from approaching Abdić within 100 metres for a period of four years, starting from the date the judgment becomes final.
- The judgment is not final - Rosandić said.
The Basic State Prosecutor’s Office filed an indictment proposal against Milović on suspicion that he threatened Abdić on March 5 at his workplace, at a clinic within the Clinical Center of Montenegro.
Milović was charged with the criminal offence of endangering safety. He was arrested on March 6, and following questioning, the prosecutor decided that he could defend himself while remaining at liberty.
