I believe that there are many honorable officials within the Special State Prosecutor’s Office who will record the wrongdoing of certain corrupt and compromised colleagues. The time will come when the truth will see the light of day, and if the Special State Prosecutor’s Office wants to silence or intimidate me so that I stop dealing with media and journalism, let them say so. But you will not silence me! Why, out of the hundreds of people with whom I had far more communication, did you choose these five individuals in particular? You wanted to indict journalists and owners of seven media outlets as well, but you were afraid of the reaction from the European Union.

This was stated before the Higher Court, during the hearing at which the indictment was reviewed, by businessman Aleksandar Mijajlović, who categorically denied all allegations from the indictment.

- Who gave you the task to do this? Was it the one who in 2015 wrote a comment about who should be buried in Montenegro and was never convicted? Or those whom the SIA keeps under control with videos, photographs, and reports of sexual violence - Mijajlović asked.

The prosecution accuses him of forming a criminal organization whose alleged members included police officers Drago Spičanović, Milovan Pavićević, Vladan Lazović, prosecutor Andrijana Nastić, as well as politician and Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) official Predrag Bošković.

Mijajlović is accused of forming the group by using Montenegrin media outlets, namely „Mportal“, „TV E“, as well as the portals „CDM“, „Standard“, „Portal Analitika“, „Antena M“ and the daily newspaper Pobjeda, allegedly in order to „gain unlawful power for himself and the criminal organization by shaping public opinion and creating a media image exclusively for the purpose of suppressing competition and personally discrediting religious, political, and business organizations“.

In his testimony, Mijajlović explained in detail that he had received information from Spičanović about vehicle owners, mostly at the request of journalists, all in relation to traffic violations, reckless driving, accidents, and similar matters.

- I asked several times about attractive women as well. None of that is a criminal offense, nor does it have consequences for anyone - Mijajlović said.

He added that he had also checked information regarding the mother of Aleksa Bečić and that it had proven true that „she was jointly constructing a building with a member of the Škaljari clan and that there was also unpaid tax debt“.

- The case is safe, locked away in someone’s drawer. Did I lie about anything there, spin anything, or deceive the public? Šaranović is also building together with Bečić. That is nothing to be ashamed of; they should simply admit the truth. Momo Koprivica is also involved in illegal activities - Mijajlović said.

Addressing the judicial panel presided over by Judge Zoran Radović, he pointed out that none of the 33 witnesses questioned had said a single bad word about him. Of those witnesses, 23 did not even know him personally.

He also referred to the testimony of Genex employees, who stated that no one in the company had ever mentioned voting, politics, religious processions, or similar matters to them.

As they explained during questioning, they voted for whomever they wanted, and those who no longer work there have no negative words about the company.

- They had never even heard of me, let alone met me... Apparently I’m a genius. But according to the prosecutor, I am the owner of Bemax, the leader of the DPS, the only person laundering his own money on which he paid taxes, a cigarette smuggler, and the head of an organized criminal group where nobody in the group knows me, nor do I know them. And the peak of it all is that I supposedly bought cocaine in Ecuador worth 37,100 euros a month after it had already been seized. I am apparently the only smuggler in the world who bought something that had already been confiscated. Are you aware of what you are doing - Mijajlović asked.

What is actually true, he emphasized, is never mentioned. Mijajlović pointed out that he is the owner and director of the company Montemedia, whose sole business is media and journalism. He also added that he owns the company Easy Drive, which cooperates with Bemax, and that he is the director of Alec Montenegro, where Bemax is part of the ownership structure.

- So, indirectly, I am an employee of Bemax, but not the owner, although I would like to be - but I am not - Mijajlović emphasized.

Apart from Mijajlović, all the others denied the allegations in the indictment and claimed that they had done nothing illegal or acted on his orders.
