The Military Police served a decision removing Commander of the Montenegrin Navy and commodore in the Armed Forces of Montenegro Darko Vuković from duty - Portal ETV has learned.

According to information obtained by our news outlet, the reason for this decision was a letter Vuković sent to the President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović, informing him that Defence Minister Dragan Krapović was subjecting him to workplace harassment (mobbing).

The news outlet „Vijesti“ published details of the letter today in which, among other things, Vuković complains that Krapović does not allow him to enter the building of the Ministry of Defence in Podgorica through the main entrance, used also by some officers of lower rank than his, but instead forces him to use the service entrance on the other side, where all visitors are “searched” by the Military Police.

Vuković also complained to Milatović that at meetings he attended at the Ministry his rank was not respected, as he was made to “sit in the third or fourth row,” while officers of lower rank were seated in front of him.

Milatović has scheduled a session of the Defence and Security Council for today, at which the Report on the situation in the Army of Montenegro for last year will be considered, as well as a draft decision on the participation of Army units in international exercises and training scheduled for next year.

At the session, Council members will also consider the Report on the participation of members of the Army of Montenegro in exercises or training abroad at the platoon level or higher for last year.

- At the session, the Draft Decision on the participation of units of the Army of Montenegro in international exercises and training in 2026 will be considered - the statement says.

The Council will also consider, it added, proposals by the Ministry of Defence on appointments, dismissals, and promotions of officers of the Army, as well as other matters within its jurisdiction.
