Contractor selected for the construction of the Budva bypass expressway

A consortium consisting of Briv Construction, Hering, Herc Constructin (Herc Gradnja), Shandong, and IPSA Institute Sarajevo has been selected as the designer and contractor for the first phase of the expressway along the Montenegrin coast, on the Markovići-Lastva Grbaljska section (Budva bypass), Prime Minister Milojko Spajić announced.

The decision on the selection of the designer was made by the company Monteput. As Spajić stated on the social network X, the offered price for the preparation of project documentation and execution of works amounts to 196,257,041.22 euros, while the deadline for completion is 48 months from the date the contractor is introduced to the work.

- The construction of the expressway, which will connect the main roads Podgorica-Budva and Budva-Tivat, will significantly contribute to redirecting transit traffic away from Budva’s urban core, reducing traffic congestion, and improving the safety of all road users - Spajić emphasized.

The tender for this project was announced at the end of October last year and remained open until the end of February.
